For the second time I found myself playing the role of photographer at one of Ben's cousins' weddings, this time Darren & Maria. It was also my first church wedding, and despite living in Bridgend for several years by this point, I'd never before been to the church in Ben's home village of Llangeinor, St Cein's Church.

Of course, being Wales and it being in October, the odds were stacked up against us for the weather, and the wedding fell in the middle of one of the many storms we had in October. Somehow though, against all odds, it didn't rain! It was however rather windy, especially for a church on a hill, and the bride lost her veil before even stepping foot in the church. It was fortunately recovered after a chase from her son.

Once the ceremony was done, thanks to the weather, everyone legged it to the The Vetz in Pontycymer for the reception before we had chance to do the group photos, so they all had to be done later with the challenging lighting at the reception venue! Forunately the bride and groom had stuck around so we had a few quick photos before heading off to catch up with everyone else.

We stayed snapping plenty of candids and the group shots, before it was time for the first dance, where Darren and Maria were joined by their youngest daughter, Megan, for the dance.
