The Barn at West Farm is a stunning venue right on our doorstep, but one we'd never actually been to before. It was a beautiful Summer's day for Hywel & Vienna's wedding, and certainly toasty for bridal prep in the morning, but fortunately the bridal party were armed with fans for the morning to help stop them melting completely. Vienna was walked down the aisle by their [incredibly cute] son, Nye, who was pretty much smiles throughout and may have stole the show a little! The ceremony was stunning and conducted by a fab celebrant, totally personalised to the bride & groom, and including To View More >>

Some of the highlights from Max & Katie's wedding at the Avon Gorge Hotel, Bristol - a lovely venue with stunning views across the gorge and the Clifton Suspension Bridge. We had a great day shooting Max & Katie's wedding. We've been friends with them for years, and there's always something extra special about being able to be a part of your friends' day, doing a job you love, whilst also celebrating their marriage with a bunch of your favourite people! We had our first ever cake smash last weekend, and it certainly won't be our last! With limited space to work with, and the idea of owning our own studio still a long-term goal, I honestly wasn't sure how this was going to go. But everything went to plan, the space was perfect for what we needed, and Millie was full of smiles, even if she wasn't all that interested in cake! We've already started getting bookings for more cake smashes, so we're very excited where this new branch of our photography is going to take us! To View More >>

Not being super local to Bath, shooting a wedding at The Roman Baths was never even on our radar, so we were thrilled when Holly got in touch about her wedding - before that message I hadn't been to The Roman Baths in over a decade, but I remembered it was a stunning venue and certainly a wonderful choice for your special day. It was a beautiful winter wedding, with a sunset ceremony beside the Great Bath, before the reception on the terrace. It was absolutely freezing— it had been snowing that week — and that night was the coldest night of the year, so huge kudos to Holly To View More >>

For the second time I found myself playing the role of photographer at one of Ben's cousins' weddings, this time Darren & Maria. It was also my first church wedding, and despite living in Bridgend for several years by this point, I'd never before been to the church in Ben's home village of Llangeinor, St Cein's Church. Of course, being Wales and it being in October, the odds were stacked up against us for the weather, and the wedding fell in the middle of one of the many storms we had in October. Somehow though, against all odds, it didn't rain! It was however rather windy, especially To View More >>

Ailsa is one of those brides who barely stopped smiling the entire day and was so impossibly chilled and happy. Ailsa is actually an old friend and we graduated together many years ago! Ailsa and Craig's wedding was the shortest I've ever been to. They only wanted ceremony covereage, and the ceremony was over quicker than any I've ever shot in the past - possibly something to do with the fact that Gloucestershire Registry Office seemed to have an influx of weddings on that day. There was one wedding taking place as we arrived, vacating the room just in time for Ailsa and Craig's To View More >>

I know most people start in wedding photography by shooting a family member's wedding, but not for me. Finally someone in my family, my brother, got engaged and so I ended up doing the photos. It was certainly a new experience for me, but an enjoyable one that managed to throw out all my preconceptions about doing a family member's wedding (turns out it's a lot harder than I'd anticipated!) The Village Hotel in Swindon was the venue, and we were there from bride and groom prep, right up until some very drunk dancing from my brother late in the night. To View More >>

I met Andy and Lauren a few months before their wedding for their pre-wedding shoot - we'd had to reschedule and move the shoot forward since, as I found out at the shoot, Lauren was pregnant, meaning they'd have a beautiful baby girl by the time their wedding came around! The forecast wasn't great for the wedding day, and ultimately it ended up hammering it down for the majority of the day, but that's the risk with a winter wedding! I joined Lauren at her hotel where she was getting ready, whilst Ben went off to do venue shots and some groom prep. I'm not sure I've ever seen such a chilled out To View More >>

We met Paul and Sally a few months before their wedding when we went to Cardiff's Bute Park for a pre-wedding shoot, which they also asked if we could make into a family/child shoot, so we got to meet their two lovely boys as well. One who couldn't get enough of the camera and the other who took some warming to it! I was looking forward to their wedding as not only did they seem incredibly organised, which is always wonderful for me, they were also having a very small wedding of 12 people, themselves included, and I was excited to shoot such an intimate wedding. I was only with them for a To View More >>

I was super excited to be asked to shoot Sian and Andrew's wedding at the Nash Point Lighthouse on the Vale of Glamorgan Heritage Coast, as it is such a stunning and unique venue! In fact, Nash Point Lighthouse is the only working lighthouse within the entire British Isles, which is a licensed premises for holding weddings and civil partnerships, so I jumped at the opportunity to photograph a wedding here. I didn't actually get to meet Sian and Andrew until the day before the wedding as they don't live locally. When I went to the cottage they were staying at on the grounds of To View More >>
