I met Andy and Lauren a few months before their wedding for their pre-wedding shoot - we'd had to reschedule and move the shoot forward since, as I found out at the shoot, Lauren was pregnant, meaning they'd have a beautiful baby girl by the time their wedding came around!
The forecast wasn't great for the wedding day, and ultimately it ended up hammering it down for the majority of the day, but that's the risk with a winter wedding! I joined Lauren at her hotel where she was getting ready, whilst Ben went off to do venue shots and some groom prep. I'm not sure I've ever seen such a chilled out bride and the bridal prep was very relaxed. Once her dad had arrived I jumped in my car to beat them to the venue, The Moonraker in Bradford on Avon, and got some photos while I waited.
The rain continued throughout the day but it didn't hamper the spirits of the bride and groom, or their guests. Thanks to the dark skies, the lighting wasn't ideal for the ceremony since using a flash during the ceremony is a big ol' nope! There was lots of candids indoors as none of the guests were particularly keen on venturing out into the rain. Then everyone sat down for the wedding breakfast, followed by the speeches, one of which was by my brother who was Best Man and much better at public speaking than he'd let on!
The day finished with lots of dancing, mostly from Lauren, before Ben and myself headed home, and typically, it had finally stopped raining!
