I know most people start in wedding photography by shooting a family member's wedding, but not for me. Finally someone in my family, my brother, got engaged and so I ended up doing the photos. It was certainly a new experience for me, but an enjoyable one that managed to throw out all my preconceptions about doing a family member's wedding (turns out it's a lot harder than I'd anticipated!) The Village Hotel in Swindon was the venue, and we were there from bride and groom prep, right up until some very drunk dancing from my brother late in the night. To View More >>

I met Andy and Lauren a few months before their wedding for their pre-wedding shoot - we'd had to reschedule and move the shoot forward since, as I found out at the shoot, Lauren was pregnant, meaning they'd have a beautiful baby girl by the time their wedding came around! The forecast wasn't great for the wedding day, and ultimately it ended up hammering it down for the majority of the day, but that's the risk with a winter wedding! I joined Lauren at her hotel where she was getting ready, whilst Ben went off to do venue shots and some groom prep. I'm not sure I've ever seen such a To View More >>

We met Paul and Sally a few months before their wedding when we went to Cardiff's Bute Park for a pre-wedding shoot, which they also asked if we could make into a family/child shoot, so we got to meet their two lovely boys as well. I was super excited to be asked to shoot Sian and Andrew's wedding at the Nash Point Lighthouse on the Vale of Glamorgan Heritage Coast, as it is such a stunning and unique venue! In fact, Nash Point Lighthouse is the only working lighthouse within the entire British Isles, which is a licensed premises for holding weddings and civil partnerships, so I jumped at the opportunity to photograph a wedding here. I didn't actually get to meet Sian and Andrew until the day before the wedding as they don't live locally. When I went to the cottage they were staying at on the To View More >>

I had the opportunity to once again do some second shooting at Carly and Gareth's wedding, with the lead shooter being Trevor Meakin Photography. I'd met Carly once before the wedding and we agreed that I'd shoot bridal prep and focus on capturing candids for the rest of the day, so you won't see any posed shots here, just all natural smiles and emotions. The day started at Carly's house before we made our way to Swindon registry office. During the ceremony I let the main photographer do his thing whilst I took that moment to relax before the ceremony was done. I then captured To View More >>
